Problems in your feet?

News / Wednesday, November 15th, 2017

In recent years, surveillance and care of our feet has increased considerably.

The affections in the incidence snack cake are the helomas (calluses), Hallux Abductus Valgus (bunion), alterations in the structure of the foot (flat-foot, foot of mold, fingers in claw, hammer toe or mallet) and the dreaded plantar fasciitis, leading all this to a painful symptomatology.

The helomas, commonly known as tripe or “chicken eyes” are like little balls embedded in areas of higher foot pressure, so they can appear on the sole of the foot, between the fingers or in bony prominences, like bunions. They are characterized by being very painful because of the pressure. People with this condition describe this pain as punctures, causing them to alter their progress

To avoid its appearance and thus the absence of pain, Ubiotex has created a wide range of podiatric products, related to these pathologies found:

• Half-moon separator in pure gel (available in three sizes S, M, L)

• Silicone mouse for left and right foot (available in three sizes S, M, L)

• Fabric band in silicone fabric (available in two sizes S, L)

• Gel tubing  coated with fabric (available in two sizes S, L)

• Digital Cap coated with fabric (available in three sizes S, M, L)

• Metatarsal pad with pure gel ring (one size fits all)

Within this variety of Ubiotex podiatric products we also find:

• Reel separator in pure gel (available in three sizes S, M, L)

• Toe spreaders  with pure gel reel separator (one size)

• Bunion protective band with fabric and gel (available in two sizes S, L)

• Bunion protector with elastic strap (one size)

These last articles are used mainly for the HAV (bunion). This condition presents, deviation of the first toe in abduction and valgus, the latter is not always observed. It can also present structural alteration in the underlying fingers, of greater recurrence the second supraductus finger. This pathology is asymptomatic in most cases, although users sometimes report overload in the underlying metatarsals, due to a translocation of loads.

The deviations of the finger can cause constant microtrauma with the footwear, causing osseous growth (exostosis), giving rise to the bunion; all this leads to the appearance of pain, chafing, hardness in this area, etc. The toe spreaders with reel separator and protective band of bunion with Ubiotex fabric and gel. They are specially designed to meet the needs of our users, whose main effect is to avoid the pain caused by the friction of the exostosis with the footwear, thus avoiding the appearance of helomas. Another advantage of the bunion , they help to the correct alignment of the articulation of the first finger.

Ubiotex has also designed insoles and heel cups, made entirely of silicone.

These insoles are designed to adapt to the needs of each individual. Providing a perfect cushioning, during weight support activities, thus generating an equitable distribution of plantar pressures along the foot surface, giving the user a feeling of comfort. To achieve these effects, additional silicone has been injected into the maximum support surfaces, such as the heel and the metatarsal heads, and it also has aretrocapital almond, the effect of which is to unload the central metatarsal heads subcapitally.

These items can be used during all activities of your daily life, such as people who remain for a long time standing, people suffering from pain and overload the talar area (talalgias, calcaneal spur, bursitis), during sports, for go shopping, etc. Remember that Ubio products improve the quality of life of the person as their slogan says, Ubio Quality Life.

The heel pieces that Ubiotex manufactures can be included in 4 groups, depending on the needs of each user.

The heel of double density are recommended mainly for problems such as tendonitis, calcaneal spur or bursitis in the heel. Because they are manufactured with double density, characteristic that confers greater discharge in the area of contact with the foot of the heel. Available in sizes M, L and XL.

We also find heel cups that incorporate cups; called Heel Cups (available in sizes M, L and XL) this element allows greater support of the heel and prevents the expansion of the plant fat found in the area, thus providing greater cushioning of loads and pressures.

Within the double density heel we can differentiate that this double density is in the central or internal area of the heel. This fact is of vital importance when choosing the heel that best suits our needs.

– Double density central heel cup (available in four sizes S, M, L and XL)

– Double density side heel cup (available in four sizes S, M, L and XL)

The most sold are sizes M, L and XL.

The first one, when the double density is found in the central zone of the heel, this point with the maximum support of the calcaneus, allows here its discharge and distribution of pressures due to the greater area of the plantar. Therefore, it is indicated for problems of centrally located calcaneal spur.

On the other hand, when the double density is medialized, it confers a greater discharge in the medial tubercle of the calcaneus, being more useful in pains located in this area such as bursitis in the heel, lateralized spur or plantar fasciitis, since this area It coincides with the origin of the plantar fascia and high pain point when this pathology occurs.
