An eschar is an injury to the skin that occurs when an area of the body is exposed to continuous pressure or rubbing. They are also known as pressure ulcer wounds (bedsores). Bedsores usually occur in people with reduced mobility or who are bedridden for a long time. Bedsores are caused by remaining in the same position for too long, especially on bony prominences, such as elbows. 

Therefore, at Ubiotex we manufacture our pressure relief elbow pads with Suapel fabric, a fabric that relieves pressure on the elbow area, avoiding direct contact with other hard surfaces and, thus, the appearance of bedsores or pressure ulcers.

In our range of elbow pads we offer different models, from the Suapel pressure relief elbow pads, that prevent bedsores and facilitate perspiration, to the padded pressure relief elbow pads that, thanks to their interior silicone fibre, increase protection by increasing the release of pressure, thus favouring the bedsores treatment by eliminating pressure in the area.
